Regional Workshop
The Regional
Workshop was held on 29-30 September 2004 at hatampur, Uttar
Pradesh. The workshop was organized by DARPAN. It is a two-day
regional workshop on “Warthaman Paridrushyame Dalitho Ke Bhoomika”.
Haryana State Level Workshop. The Haryana state level workshop on
“Condition of Dalits in India” was held in Blue Bird Tourist
Complex, Sirsa Road in Hisar District of Haryana on November 6th,
2004. About 102 delegates participated.
Rajasthan State Level Workshop
A state level
workshop was held at Rajasthan Paryatan Vikas Nigam Limited, Jaipur
on 7th February, 2005. The theme of the workshop was “Dalit:
Leadership building, economic empowerment and representation in
private sectors”. The workshop was organised by Dr. Mahendra Pratap
Rana of Buddha Smrithi Sansthan. Around 120 participants joined the
meting.
West India Regional Convention
West India
Regional Convention was held at Upalab Mangal Karyalaya, Solapur on
9th to 11th February 2005.
Lawyers’ Forum
The National
Dalit Forum organized lawyers’ meeting in A.P. covering two
districts, East and West Godavari to further the NDF objectives. Dr. Justice K. Punnaiah, Chairman, SC/ST commission of Andhra Pradesh was the Chief
Guest of the Lawyer’s Forum.
North India Regional Convention
The theme of the convention was “Economic
Empowerment of Dalits through Affirmative Action (Proportional
Representation) in Private Sectors. About 150 participants attended
the convention.
Karnataka State Level Workshop
The Karnataka
State Level Workshop was held on 6th July, 2005,at Indian Social
Institute, Bangalore on “ Present Dalit Situation in Karnataka and
Scheduled Caste List” organised by Mr. Oblesha. About 70
participants attended the workshop. |
